If you’ve been wondering what former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been up to since Jurgen Klopp presumably wised up and stopped going ’round to his house for advice, the answer is getting engaged in the most touristy and unromantic way possible.
Rodgers and his girlfriend were spotted in the middle of the neon assault on the senses that is New York City’s Times Square, where he got down on one knee in front of a photographer to propose across the street from a Lids hat shop and a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.

Why Times Square? Presumably because he feels most comfortable surrounded by underwhelming and massively overpriced fare.

Anyway, congrats to the happy couple. I’m sure Liverpool would be happy to give him Jose Enrique as a wedding present.
I love the bizzare fact that the photo were taken by a Jesuit priest.
