Prior to Italy’s match against Sweden, Andrea Barzagli spotted a ladybug on the pitch as he warmed up. Most people wouldn’t think twice about a little bug in the grass, but Barzagli takes his job as a defender very seriously.
First he tried to pick up his new friend, then called over one of Italy’s trainers to escort the ladybug (coccinella in Italian) to safety. No wonder Italy went on to win 1-0 on a late goal from Eder while keeping their second clean sheet of Euro 2016. You can’t beat ladybug karma.

Perhaps this story can serve as a far more literal sequel to the classic Rodney Dangerfield football film Ladybugs.
Actually he is doing his job gravely at all… keeping in mind the fact of convenience of his team!!!
