Everton striker Romelu Lukaku was a bit off target during warm-ups at St. Mary’s Stadium, hitting a woman with an errant shot. Eager to make amends, Lukaku then climbed into the stands and gave the woman his shirt and a hug.
The experience seemed to help him improve his accuracy once the match began, though. He scored a first-half brace as Everton went on to beat Southampton 3-0. After the match, when informed of his player’s good deed, Everton manager Roberto Martinez responded with a…poor choice of words.
Roberto Martinez on Romelu Lukaku apologising to a female fan he hit in the warm-up. ‘Maybe he’ll have to hit a woman in every game.’

No, Roberto. He definitely shouldn’t do that.
