Jurgen Klopp made his Anfield debut as Liverpool hosted Rubin Kazan in the Europa League. This was an understandably exciting moment for the club’s supporters, but if you were dropped off at Anfield with no idea what was happening, you’d probably assume that this Klopp fellow had given everyone in town their own solid gold sex robot.
Here are some choice images from around the ground as Klopp fever was only mildly tempered by a 1-1 draw against a Russian club that played the final hour with 10 men…
This man was pleased that he could finally replace his “Rodgers 4 the Kop” shirt, which simply didn’t have the same alliterative punch.
The matchday program had an Obama “Hope” poster vibe to it.
It might be a smidge premature to call someone a “Kop idol” when you have to use a picture of him in a Borussia Dortmund top.
“The Normal One” has quickly become a popular nickname for Klopp, but at least two supporters realized that it’s his undeniable weirdness that makes him so wonderful.

To be fair to Liverpool fans, Klopp was just as excited to see them as they were to see him.
Somewhere, Brendan Rodgers is lamenting the fact that Liverpool owner John Henry never took any pictures of him.
When Liverpool equalized in the 37th minute, Klopp got his first taste of Anfield elation. But when it ended 1-1, he walked alone back to the dressing room.
“One more draw and I’m deleting that picture off my phone…”
