Championship side Reading came from behind to beat West Brom 3-1 in the FA Cup quarterfinals, angering the Baggies fans who made the trip. After the match, West Brom vice-captain Chris Brunt tried to make amends for the loss by moving to give his shirt to someone in the crowd, but as he took it off, he was struck by a coin thrown from the away end.
The coin hit him just below his eye and rightly infuriated Brunt, who demanded to know who threw it.

“Our supporters obviously think it’s ok to throw coins at their own players,” Brunt told BBC Radio. “It’s absolutely disgusting.”
It appears that other West Brom fans did turn on the person who threw the coin and dealt out a bit of vigilante justice, though.
Not the most pleasant way to earn an extra 50p for Chris Brunt, but it’s still an extra 50p nonetheless.
