Not sure the nerves could take that today, @NoelGallagher! #cityatwembley #mcfc pic.twitter.com/2hQYumtYMM

Man City superfan and former member of Oasis Noel Gallagher can see the future. Prior to the Capital One Cup final between City and Liverpool, he was asked to give a prediction before heading into Wembley to watch the match. So he only went and foretold the exact result. A City win. On penalties. With Yaya Toure delivering the final blow.
And that’s what happened. Fernandinho gave City a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute and Coutinho equalized for Liverpool in the 83rd, sending the match to extra time. When that couldn’t settle it, City won the ensuing shootout 3-1 thanks to three saves by Willy Caballero and a winning shot by an exhausted Yaya Toure.
Though Yaya didn’t send the keeper the wrong way, as Gallagher thought he would, he did throttle Adam Lallana earlier in the match, so, you know, close enough.
A champagne (supernova) moment… 🏆 #cityatwembley #mcfc pic.twitter.com/1H29iIM0mz
