Tim Howard announces MLS return with claymation video

Confident that his skills have diminished enough to play for the Colorado Rapids, 37-year-old Tim Howard has announced that he will leave Everton at the end of the season and return to MLS after 13 years in the Premier League. And he did this with a claymation video set to Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA”…as you do.

Howard has endured a miserable season with the Toffees and, as a result, has been watching from the bench since late January. He will reportedly make between $2.5-2.8 million a year for the next three and a half years in Colorado, which is roughly equivalent to the combined salaries of about 20 MLS goalkeepers.

Howard will join Colorado’s other recent high-priced signing, Jermaine Jones, who is likely very upset that he didn’t get a claymation video too.

    Nitpicking here…

Worra is DC’s starter of the moment. But only because Hamid and Dykstra are injured. Bill is making a bit more than $50k. Point taken though.
