Six minutes into his first appearance of the MLS season, Didier Drogba scored a 56th-minute backheel equalizer against Chicago. Drogba’s debut was delayed by his refusal to play on turf in order to preserve his 38-year-old knees and almost didn’t happen at all as considered retiring to join Guus Hiddink’s coaching staff at Chelsea back in December.
Adding to Drogba’s list of complicating factors was the announcement that the UK Charity Commission is investigating his foundation following a report about misappropriation of funds by the Daily Mail earlier in the week. Drogba released a statement strenuously denying the allegations.

And despite all this, Drogba comes off the bench and almost immediately scores a skillful goal as casual as can be to help Montreal to a 2-1 comeback victory. The man can’t be stopped…except by turf, of course.
Can anyone on Chelsea score backheel goals?
