Steven Gerrard and Liverpool teammates attempt to play blind football

Steven Gerrard, Adam Lallana, and Mamadou Sakho took part in a training session with Merseyside Blind FC as part of the club’s Seeing is Believing initiative and found out just how difficult blind football actually is.

Though each player struggled to keep the ball at their feet in the beginning, they seemed to get a better feel for it as the season went on. Gerrard’s dribble dance at the start of the video is delightful, though.

Everything you need to know about Man United loan signing Andy Kellett

Manchester United completed the shock deadline-day signing of 21-year-old defender Andy Kellett on loan from Bolton, prompting the world to ask, “Who is Andy Kellett and why does Man United executive Ed Woodward insist on doing all of his drugs during the transfer window?” We may never know the answer to the second part of that question, but we do have some information to help clear up the first part.

(BBC)
(BBC)

Just when you think transfer deadline day can’t get anymore ridiculous than it already is, someone thinks of something to take it to another level of nonsense that renders all attempts to mock it useless. And this time, that has been achieved by the most unexpected of sources: The BBC.

Harry Kane is good at kicking American footballs too

Being England’s next great hope is a sentence of certain doom, so Tottenham striker Harry Kane is getting a start on exploring other careers. And with the Super Bowl coming up (which Harry is apparently very excited about), he decided to try kicking a field goal. Without the proper goal posts.

Kane’s kick was long and straight and might get the attention of NFL scouts. But even if it doesn’t, Ted Lasso will be proud.

Stomp or Score: A guide to playing football by Diego Costa

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has proven himself to be a master of infuriating his opponents and he does that with the frequent utilization of two key methods: scoring and stomping. Though he didn’t notch a goal in the second leg of Chelsea’s successful Capital One Cup semifinal against Liverpool, the Premier League’s top scorer was arguably the most impactful player on the pitch, infuriating the Liverpool players with his other tactic: the stomp.

He raised tensions early by retaliating against Emre Can for kicking the ball away from him with a stomp and then did the same later on when Martin Skrtel flailed his legs in the air to thwart a scoring chance.

frankie

By February 5, Frank Lampard was supposed to be with New York City FC, preparing for the start of the club’s first season in MLS following what was believed to be his short-term loan stint with Man City. Instead, he’ll still be with Man City since he never actually signed a contract with NYCFC when he was unveiled last summer. But he will release his latest children’s book on that day, regrettably titled “Frankie’s New York Adventure.”

This will only add further insult to the already embittered fans in New York. So in the interest of helping Lampard smooth things over, we’ve come up with some alternate titles for the book.

Angel Di Maria launches shot out of Cambridge United’s stadium

“Go get it.”

League Two side Cambridge United held Manchester United to a scoreless draw at their Abbey Stadium to force a dream FA Cup replay at Old Trafford. While Cambridge’s performance against their much wealthier opponent was a valiant one, Man United’s left a lot to be desired. And when Angel Di Maria blasted a shot completely out of the 4,376-seat Abbey Stadium, it pretty much summed up the evening for the visiting side.
