Japanese clubs to wear kits with dog and eagle faces on them

Japanese second division club JEF United Ichihara Chiba are celebrating their 25th anniversary with a legends match against Tokyo Verdy and both clubs will wear special kits that should make goal celebrations a little extra enjoyable.

U.S. club introduces abomination of fashion seersucker shirt

The bizarre kit arms race happening in lower divisions across the world continues with Shreveport, Louisiana NPSL (the U.S. fourth division) club Rafters FC. Perhaps inspired by Spanish side Cultural Leonesa’s tuxedo kit, Rafters have given the on-pitch formal wear idea a southern U.S. spin with the seersucker kit, complete with clownish bowtie graphic.
From the Wikipedia entry on seersucker:
The fabric was originally worn by the poor in the U.S. until preppy undergraduate students began wearing it in the 1920s in an air of reverse snobbery. Damon Runyon wrote that his new habit for wearing seersucker was “causing much confusion among my friends. They cannot decide whether I am broke or just setting a new vogue.”
I’m sure Rafters FC will cause similar confusion when they wear this thing.
I refuse to own tassel loafers, Cristiano Ronaldo
One of my picks for the warm days ahead of us! Tassel loafers are a must have. Check it now https://t.co/Yu7rvgpkQf pic.twitter.com/iXsRjcyANL

This is one place where you and I disagree, Cristiano. I do not feel it necessary to own tassel loafers. Not even a little bit. As far as I’m concerned, tassels are for draperies and graduation caps.
Chelsea will be wearing a sponsored pajama top next season
This is Chelsea’s home kit for the 2016/17 season. It features “tonal lions” on the shirt. It looks like something Hugh Hefner would wear to bed.
I guess Adidas decided that since Chelsea sleepwalked through much of this season, they might as well be dressed appropriately for it.

Mexico return to green home shirt and it looks quite good

For Copa America 2015 Mexico went with an all black kit, but for Copa America 2016, they return to their traditional green and white. It’s nothing too flashy, but keeping it simple often results in great kits and this is one of them.
Man United being shamed by their own sweatshirts
This season is the first under Man United’s record kit deal with Adidas. It’s also their worst in the Premier League era. Louis van Gaal’s tactics have sucked the joy out of the team’s play and goals scarce that one of the most popular chants at Old Trafford this season has been “We’re Man United, we want to attack!”
