The Italian press ran a story this week worthy of a Scooby Doo episode: That new Sampdoria signing Samuel Eto’o purchased a 40-room villa in Portofino, Italy that is cursed by Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun for €25 million (marked down from €40 million).

Paul Pogba simply cannot stop scoring ridiculously good goals
We’ve known for a long time that Paul Pogba is capable of a stunning goal, but the French midfielder is apparently unable to score anything but stone-cold Bobby Dazzlers right now.
During Juventus’ 2-0 win over Chievo on Sunday, the 21-year-old hit a wonderful left-footed drive on the hour mark (see above). Last weekend, Pogba used his right foot to open the scoring against Hellas Veronas after only three minutes…

Milan defender Philippe Mexes completely lost his mind near the end of his side’s 3-1 loss at Lazio, choking both Stefano Mauri and Lorik Cana. Mexes was shown a straight red and will likely face a long ban for grabbing the neck of Mauri, who was also booked as a result of the ensuing melee.

Roberto Mancini knocked down by errant ball to the face kicked by his own captain
Back with Inter, Roberto Mancini is in the process of building what could be a formidable squad, but before they beat Genoa 3-1 on Sunday, they turned on their creator. The Roma captain scored twice in the second half to come back from a 2-0 deficit against Lazio and his 64th-minute equalizer was a stunner of a flying karate kick volley at the far post. He then celebrated by taking a selfie with his own phone in front of the Roma fans of the Curva Sud.

Palermo would like you to have sexual fantasies about them for Christmas
Many top clubs have put together special videos for the holidays featuring players singing songs, wearing ugly sweaters and doing a variety of other things associated with the season. But Palermo decided to go a different route with their video and now Christmas will never be the same again.
Jose Mourinho laughs about Mario Balotelli’s reason for once missing a meeting with him
Jose Mourinho and Mario Balotelli had their run-ins during their time at Inter and though their relationship suffered for it at the time, it seems that Mourinho can laugh about it now that they’ve gone their separate ways.
In an interview with BT Sport’s Clare Balding, Mourinho tells the story of how Balotelli once skipped a meeting between the two of them so he could attend a Formula 1 event. Mario’s reason for doing this? According to Mourinho, Balotelli told him, “Meetings in your office I can have every day, but Formula 1 is only in Italy once a year.”
Well played, Mario. Well played.
