It’s the second leg of the Liga MX clausura final. Monterrey scored in the first half to pull even with Pachuca 1-1 on aggregate. In the 74th minute, Pachuca defender Aquivaldo Mosquera’s attempt at a clearance failed, giving Dorlan Pabon a clear chance on goal to take the lead. So desperation instantly takes over and Mosquera decides to take Pabon down by any means necessary. Which translates to pulling him down by his shorts.

Tigres manager has furious meltdown after Liga MX playoff elimination
The man you see in the video above shouting like a lunatic and storming out of his own press conference is Tigres manager Tuca Ferretti. He was freaking out because he likes to let female journalists ask questions first, but a male journalist spoke out of turn. But the root of his anger was the manner in which his team was eliminated from the Liga MX quarterfinals.

Mexico training sessions are getting weird
Mexico will face the U.S. in a one-match playoff this weekend for a spot in the Confederations Cup. As strange as that premise is to begin with, it gets weirder still for Mexico since this game will mark the end of interim manager Tuca Ferretti’s four-match reign, because he doesn’t want the job full time after filling in for Miguel Herrera, who was sacked for punching a reporter at Philadelphia airport. But Juan Carlos Osorio has accepted the job and will take over next week, according to ESPN FC.
And now, with all this going on, the players are wearing deflated balls on their heads during training sessions. This is goalkeeper Moises Munoz wearing his new hat and perhaps crying out for help.

So maybe it’s fitting that right after winning the Gold Cup, his first trophy with the national team, he was sacked for allegedly punching a TV pundit in the neck at Philadelphia airport.

You know that feeling when no matter how bad your day goes, you know you’ve got some pizza and cake in the fridge back home and that will make everything all better? Well that must be how Mexico have felt during their last two Gold Cup matches.
