Ahead of the FA Cup semifinals, the trophy was strapped to a roller coaster and sent for a spin. If you attempt to parse a rational explanation for this, your brain will leak out of your ear.

A detective tries to keep Sepp Blatter from getting his grubby hands on the long-lost Jules Rimet Trophy
My latest private detective story for Howler Magazine* appears in the newly released issue seven and sees our mediocre investigator dragged into the search for the Jules Rimet Trophy — the original World Cup prize, which has been missed since 1983. Tony is forced to deal with a host of shady characters, including a pair of treacherous FIFA executives.
Though you should definitely pick up the new mag, you can read the story in full on Howler’s site.
And while you’re there, I highly recommend checking out DT contributor Ryan Bailey’s piece on the football rockstar you never saw, Robin Friday, as well!
*Previous cases involving Mario Balotelli and Jose Mourinho’s last days at Real Madrid appeared in issues two and four, respectively.
Charlton Athletic offer their pitch as an expensive place to have sex
Clubs are always looking for new revenue streams and Championship side Charlton Athletic are no different. But to set themselves apart from the rest, Charlton now seem to be offering their pitch for all your late-night sex session needs.
Dunkin’ Donuts replaces tribute to Hillsborough victims with iced coffees in Liverpool crest parody
Looks like @DunkinDonuts have deleted their tweet. pic.twitter.com/fRz5yPovCW

In 1993, Liverpool added a pair of eternal flames to their crest as a tribute to the 96 people who died in the Hillsborough disaster. And in 2015, Dunkin’ Donuts, a corporate partner of the club, decided to replace those flames with pictures of iced coffee in a parody of the crest. This, needless to say, was not well received.
PSG’s Chelsea jokes backfire. Again.
PSG have been able to buy a lot of things, but successful banter apparently isn’t one of them. Up 2-0 in the 87th minute of their Ligue 1 match against Caen, the club’s official English language Twitter account decided to prod upcoming Champions League opponents Chelsea with a reference to parking the bus.
New Adidas ad lists reasons Luis Suarez is hated, conveniently leaves out biting and racism
Adidas has launched a new campaign entitled “There Will Be Haters” starring Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Karim Benzema and Luis Suarez to promote their new collection of boots. Suarez’s inclusion is notable since he is the only non-Real Madrid player of the bunch and the company pulled ads featuring him after he bit Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini during last summer’s World Cup.
New MLS club posts embarrassing job ad for FIFA-playing millennial who can “walk the walk”
Los Angeles FC, a new MLS club set to join the league in 2017 and owned by a bizarre group that includes NBA legend Magic Johnson, Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan, U.S women’s team legend Mia Hamm, motivational speaker Tony Robbins and seemingly thousands of others, are ramping up their operations with terrible job listings on the official MLS website. One of which is for a FIFA-playing millennial and supporters group puppet master.
This Premier League launch ad is an overdose of 1992
On the first day of 2015, the Sky Sports YouTube account took a throwback Thursday trip to 1992 by posting one of their Premier League launch ads from that year. Not only does it capture the moment top-flight football in England became an untamable beast with an unquenchable thirst for money, but it also depicts the false sense of innocence of a time gone by. And Gordon Strachan’s mullet.
Borussia Dortmund toaster ruins Christmas by making Bayern Munich toast
This has been a miserable season for Borussia Dortmund and their fans. So when one supporter got the official BVB musical toaster for Christmas, at least they would be able to smother their sorrows in club-branded carbs. But, in perhaps the most accurate reflection of a real life ever encapsulate in toaster form, even that couldn’t go Dortmund’s way.
Gerard Pique’s terrible driving makes Lionel Messi nervous
As Lionel Messi found out during a recent Audi event, riding in a car driven by Gerard Pique will make your life flash before your eyes.
