Fernando Torres’ brilliantly confusing career has come full circle with his return to Atletico Madrid on loan from Milan after completing a permanent move from Chelsea. Continuing the seasonal good will started by Pepe earlier in the week, Cristiano Ronaldo has given each of his teammates a personalized Bulgari Diagono watch worth €8,200. The back of the watches feature the words “La Decima” to mark Real Madrid’s historic 10th European Cup earlier this year, the player’s name and, most prominently, Ronaldo’s CR7 mark. Just so his teammates don’t go thinking it was James Rodriguez who did this.

David Moyes knows tres Spanish words and isn’t afraid to use them

David Moyes has gotten off to a great start in his mission to save Real Sociedad from relegation with a draw, a win, and two clean sheets in his first two matches with the club. Confident that he is now the ruler of Spain, the Scot decided to show off his mastery of the local language (up to the number four) during a press conference.

“They have been training with me dos, tres, cuatro times,” Moyes said when speaking of his new club’s B team as if just saying the numbers in Spanish helped anyone at all understand what he was talking about.

And now, even though he’s getting results, people are once again laughing at him. I’m starting to think he likes it.
