If this is what happens right after Jose Mourinho says one of his players is better than Ronaldo, he might want to do that more often.

These footballer album covers are spectacular
Designer Emilio Sansolini asks the question “What if these football players were music stars?” and his answers are just wonderful. Here are some personal favorites…
YouTubers sneak into Chelsea’s hotel, sign John Terry and Nemanja Matic to their “team”
Chelsea are in Montreal for their North American tour, so a group of local guys decided to seize the opportunity to try and lure a couple of players away from the Premier League champions for their own team.
First, they snuck into the club’s hotel to try and convince Jose Mourinho to be their coach. Mourinho wasn’t in the mood to hear their offer, though, and they were promptly kicked out.
They then regrouped and did a bit more planning. One of the guys posed as “Oriol Gomeo’s agent” while one of his cohorts was able to approach John Terry and get him to sign their contract (a piece of scrap paper with the word “contract” written on it). They were also successful with Nemanja Matic just before getting shoved out the door.
This, presumably, is how Ed Woodward signed Bastian Schweinsteiger for Manchester United.

Welsh club Colywn Bay FC, who play in the seventh tier of English football, suffered a break-in at their Llanelian Road ground Thursday morning when 22 cows escaped from a nearby farmer’s field. Thankfully, the cows couldn’t quite get to the delicious pitch, which will host a preseason friendly against Bolton on Saturday.
Cuba reach Gold Cup quarterfinals despite four defections and -7 goal difference
It’s impossible not to smile. After 0-6 and 0-2 losses, and multiple player defections, Cuba is in the final eight. http://t.co/o52goHdpSz

With just one goal scored and the worst goal difference in the Gold Cup group stage, Cuba have advanced to the quarterfinals, where they will face the U.S. Because this is CONCACAF — a place that logic rarely visits.
Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and more as old timey footballers
What would today’s footballers look like if they played in past eras? The excellent Paladar Negro answers that question for a slow offseason day with some wonderful trading card style photoshoppery. The mustachioed Messi is the best of the bunch, followed closely by a disgruntled Cristiano…
Goal or no goal? U-14 keeper saves penalty, tosses the ball over goal line while celebrating
A U-14 Scottish cup final between Hutchison Vale and Newcraighall Leith Vics ended in confusion thanks to one of the goals scored in the shootout required to separate the two teams. The Newcraigcall goalkeeper made a brilliant diving save, but after catching the ball, he dropped it on the ground as he celebrated, allowing it to roll over the goal line.
As the dejected Hutchison Vale shooter was hiding his face in his shirt, the ref ruled that it was a goal and the shootout continued with Hutchison Vale eventually winning the cup. But was this the right decision?
Reporter asks Ireland defender “Would you like to rear end Roy Keane?”
Ireland manager Martin O’Neill and assistant coach Roy Keane were involved in a minor car accident on Tuesday when their vehicle was rear ended in Dublin. No one involved was seriously hurt, so when Ireland defender Alex Pearce was asked about it by reporters the next day, he said the players gave their coaches a bit of ribbing over the incident. It was at this point that one reporter asked the greatest question ever asked: “Would you like to rear end Roy Keane?”
This seemed to be an attempt to reference the players’ potential frustration with the notoriously gruff ex-Man United midfielder, but it came out very different than intended. Pearce had no idea what to say and the other reporters burst out laughing.
Just a spectacular moment all around, but if Roy Keane had been there, he probably would’ve given that reporter a stiff one right in the mouth.
Sepp Blatter’s preview of the 2015 Women’s World Cup
Since I, Sepp Blatter, am the godfather of women’s football, there is no one more qualified to tell you everything you need to know about the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup!
Even though the tournament has not yet begun, people are already talking about it with so much excitement that you might think it started last Saturday. That’s how far I have brought women’s football! And that’s one of many reasons why the American authorities should not arrest me.
