Bayern Munich’s elimination from the Champions League semifinals by Atletico Madrid ensures that Pep Guardiola will not win a European title for the German club before he joins Man City next season. Though Guardiola has won five other trophies in his three seasons with Bayern, this comes as a terrible disappointment to him. Thankfully, his fellow managers have reached out to him with their comforting words.

Bayern Munich think it’s time to take another key player from Borussia Dortmund
Bayern Munich have made a habit of cherry picking some of Borussia Dortmund’s best players of the years and it’s proven to be an effective way to keep BVB in check since they won back to back titles in 2011 and 2012. But now, under new manager Thomas Tuchel, Dortmund have fought back to make the Bundesliga title race relatively interesting this season, which makes Bayern’s official interest in star defender Mats Hummels, who began his career with Bayern, rather interesting.
Thomas Müller doesn’t want Xabi Alonso to be cold
After playing 120 minutes in Bayern’s incredible comeback against Juventus and being scarred for life by Pep Guardiola threatening to cut his balls off on Wednesday, Thomas Müller was given the day off Saturday as the Bundesliga leaders faced Cologne. As a result, his focus went from scoring goals to caring for his teammates on the bench.
When Xabi Alonso came off in the second half, Müller was there to tenderly wrap him in a coat so he wouldn’t get cold.
“Karim Benzema never did that for me,” Xabi thought.
Pep Guardiola chooses a strange time to explain his moon landing conspiracy theories to Joshua Kimmich
Guardiola: Hey! Hey, Joshy! Come here! You think the moon landing was real?
Xabi Alonso scores wonder goals, plays air guitar
From growing a beard to scoring goals to playing air guitar, Xabi Alonso does everything with style.
On the pitch, he demonstrated this by scoring his first goal of the season with a thumping volley from distance to give Bayern a 1-0 win over Darmstadt in the DFB Pokal. And if you thought it might’ve been a lucky strike, well, Xabi has news for you.
Pep Guardiola wants 100% possession, has lost his mind
At a certain point, legendary business tycoon and aviator Howard Hughes went from thinking it was pretty great to be clean to urinating in jars and wearing tissues boxes as shoes. There’s a line there, between keen interest and crippling obsession, and in his own way, Pep Guardiola might be in the process of crossing it.
If it continued… (Arsenal v Bayern Munich)
Arsenal recovered from losing to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos in their first two Champions League group stage matches to end Bayern Munich’s undefeated run with a 2-0 win. This type of careening back and forth between the disastrous and the brilliant has become something of a trademark for Arsenal in the Champions League, but this win has sparked renewed belief in what the club can accomplish, while denting the perception of Bayern’s overwhelming power. Naturally, we must now ask, “What if it continued?”
Manuel Neuer makes superhuman save against Arsenal
Even when you manage to prevent Robert Lewandowski from scoring for an entire half hour, you still have to get one past Manuel Neuer to take a lead against Bayern Munich. Which is like asking someone to prevent all human suffering and then discover the meaning of life in order to win three points.
If Theo Walcott sues Neuer for doing this to him, he’d probably win a sizable compensation. Walcott can be thankful that at least he didn’t get reduced to a pile of dust like Douglas Costa did to Hector Bellerin…
Bayern Munich mascot startles and annoys people on the streets of London
With halloween coming up, Bayern mascot Berni the bear decided to hit the streets of London during the club’s trip to face Arsenal in the Champions League and startle and/or annoy random people. The result is…strange.
It seems Berni hasn’t quite grasped the concept of Halloween just yet. Pretending to drive a bus isn’t really a part of it.
Thomas Müller provides dog sound effects for Philipp Lahm interview
Thomas Müller once again proved that he can always be relied upon to do what’s needed for his team when he scored the only goal in Bayern’s win against Werder Bremen. And after the match, he demonstrated this in another way by providing a timely dog bark while Philipp Lahm praised his “dog’s nose” to the media.
There is nothing Thomas Müller can’t do.
