Hours after winning the Club World Cup with Real Madrid in Morocco, Cristiano Ronaldo returned to his hometown of Funchal on the Portuguese island of Madeira for the unveiling of a very…detailed new statue of himself. As you can see, no one was more excited about the unveiling than the statue itself.

Continuing the seasonal good will started by Pepe earlier in the week, Cristiano Ronaldo has given each of his teammates a personalized Bulgari Diagono watch worth €8,200. The back of the watches feature the words “La Decima” to mark Real Madrid’s historic 10th European Cup earlier this year, the player’s name and, most prominently, Ronaldo’s CR7 mark. Just so his teammates don’t go thinking it was James Rodriguez who did this.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Manuel Neuer have been named the finalists for the 2014 Ballon d’Or and exactly none of them deserve the award. There is, however, one man who should take the prize.
