Some time has passed since Simone Zaza’s cartoonish penalty in Italy’s shootout loss to Germany in the Euro 2016 semifinals, but German NBA star Dirk Nowitzki isn’t going let him forget it. During a charity match in Mainz, Germany, Nowitzki replicated Zaza’s high-stepping run-up and crap shot, then laughed at Zaza’s endless pain.

Pep Guardiola bans Man City players from eating pizza, dooms himself to failure in the Premier League
If there’s one thing the Premier League taught us last season it’s that pizza can perform miracles. Claudio Ranieri used it to fuel and inspire Leicester City to a still unbelievable Premier League title. But as Pep Guardiola prepares for his first season in the league with Manchester City, he has already committed a fatal error by banning his players from consuming the magical combination of dough, sauce, and cheese.
Camp Nou won’t be in FIFA 17
Though EA Sports’ FIFA series long ago surpassed Pro Evo Soccer to become the undisputed king of football video games, PES chips away at their rival’s superior resources where they can. Konami’s newly announced deal with Barcelona does that in a relatively small but significant way for Barca fans.
As part of the deal, Camp Nou will only appear in PES 2017, as will the club’s anthem. The club and players will still appear in FIFA 17 as well, but their partnership with Konami ensure that they will “be faithfully reproduced in the series using the Team ID and Player ID systems to guarantee that PES 2017 perfectly reflects both the general and individual style of play of the Barca first team.”
It’s unclear whether that means PES will have Messi’s new hairstyle, though.
Judging by the trailer above, it looks like PES is aiming to be a combination of the FIFA games and Football Manager. So if that’s what you want, this might be the game for you.
Anyway, if you’re playing FIFA 17 and wondering why Barcelona’s home matches are played at “Estadi Catalonia” or whatever, this is the reason.
Sam Allardyce was late to his first day of work as England manager
Sam Allardyce is genuinely giddy over becoming England manager (“Excuse me, I can’t stop smiling because I’ve got this job,” he said after laughing on cue to prove his point). This enthusiasm was not enough to get him to his first day of work on time, however.

Godzilla attempts penalty with tail before J-League match, fails
To promote the upcoming release of Godzilla Resurgence in Japan, a person in a Godzilla costume attempted a penalty with its tail before a J-League match between Kawasaki Frontale and FC Toyko over the weekend. With Kawasaki Frontale’s dolphin mascot in goal, the spinning tail-whip shot failed, leaving the job up to co-star Hiroki Hasegawa to put the ball in the net.
Andrei Arshavin scores wonder goal in Kazakhstan
Believe it or not, 35-year-old Andrei Arshavin is still playing football. Though he’s a long way from his days with Arsenal, playing for Kairat in the Kazakhstan Premier League, he’s still got some of the moves that made him a standout performer back at Euro 2008 and he showed this in a match against Taraz.
Fabio Borini is apparently Leo Messi’s style idol
So who do you think looks better?! @TeamMessi Do you think he tried to copy me?! 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/EjHoNDYRRz

Leo Messi has added platinum blond hair to his unlucky beard, making him look like someone completely different. Namely, Fabio Borini.
The Sunderland striker, who has also gone for platinum hair and a human color beard this summer, is wondering if Messi was inspired by him and it’s easy to see why he might think that. Aside from the fact that Messi probably doesn’t even know who Fabio Borini is, of course.
Spanish club unveils blueberry and strawberry themed kits
The trend of garish food themed kits in the Spanish lower division continues with CD Pinzon’s strawberry and blueberry shirts. Like other Spanish food kits we’ve seen, these represent the region’s agricultural output. Sadly, they do not seem to be scratch and sniff. I mean, you could scratch and sniff them, but they’ll just smell like body odor instead of fruit.
