OK, Neymar. We get it. You’re insanely talented. You don’t need to do things like putting the ball through a hole in the top corner of the goal with a freaking rabona to prove yourself. You’re just making everyone else feel bad about themselves now.

Neymar scores goal that will make you forget Lionel Messi’s name
Neymar had a second-half brace in Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Villarreal (naturally Luis Suarez scored the other goal). It was the final goal of the day that stood out as worthy of Puskas award consideration, though.
Neymar’s hair is gone
Neymar, previously thought to be little more than a life support system for his talented hair, arrived for Barcelona’s match against Las Palmas bald. The shock of seeing him without his famous hair tore Lionel Messi’s MCL in the 10th minute of the game. He will be out seven to eight weeks.
Neymar’s hair disappearance has already proven disastrous as he missed a penalty in the 66th minute of Barca’s 2-0 win.
This comes just five days after Neymar was unveiled as a new spokesman for Gillette. It’s unclear if he was paid to go bald, but if he was he must now realize that no amount of money is worth living this type of nightmare.
Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and more as old timey footballers
What would today’s footballers look like if they played in past eras? The excellent Paladar Negro answers that question for a slow offseason day with some wonderful trading card style photoshoppery. The mustachioed Messi is the best of the bunch, followed closely by a disgruntled Cristiano…
The odd summer activities of professional footballers
The offseason is short for professional footballers, but since they are so unaccustomed to the free time, they still manage to fill it with strange activities. These are just a few of them.
Neymar, Carlos Bacca shown red cards after Colombia beat Brazil
Colombia beat Brazil for the first time since 1991, avenging last summer’s World Cup quarterfinal loss with a 36th minute goal from Jeison Murillo in Copa America Group C. But once the final whistle blew, the real fun began.
It started with Neymar kicking the ball at a celebrating Pablo Armero, then lightly headbutting goal scorer Murillo, prompting Colombia striker Carlos Bacca to come charging in and shove him from behind.
DTotD: Gary Medel stands on Neymar’s leg, accuses him of “theater”
Brazil beat Chile 1-0 in a London friendly on Sunday, but Chile midfielder Gary Medel made the most of his opportunity to use Neymar’s leg as a step stool. After the pair went down in a tangle, Medel stood on Neymar as he got up. The referee didn’t see it, however, allowing the Chilean to escape punishment.
Neymar scores from directly behind the goal in training
Normally when a footballer demonstrates their ability to score from “behind the goal,” they’re doing it just a step or two away from the endline and with plenty of room to curl he ball into the net. Neymar, however, is not most footballers.
While his teammates sat around during a training session before Brazil’s friendly at France, Neymar casually spun the ball in the net from directly behind the goal.
His teammates did not seem terribly impressed.
And against France, he managed to score from a slightly less difficult angle.
Leo Messi is the designated driver for the Clasico afterparty
Barcelona beat Real Madrid 2-1 at the Camp Nou and judging by Neymar’s post-match Instagram photo, the Barca players celebrated the result by putting on their most ridiculous clubbing attire and piling into Uncle Leo Messi’s minivan for a night on the town.
Dani Alves wore his gold shoes, Neymar a red leather jacket, Adriano had on a denim one with gaudy cuff flair, Rafinha decided to be a hitman, and Douglas was a cross between Carlton Banks and a nightclub owner. Then there was Messi, who looked like he was dressed by his mother — perhaps fitting since he has a tattoo of her face on his shoulder.
Anyway, it’s good to see that the boys had a designated driver for the evening. And that Uncle Leo isn’t just sitting home with his Lego collection.
Neymar and Dani Alves play fun game of “kick Luis Suarez” during Barcelona training session
Though Luis Suarez has become an important member of Barcelona’s squad in his first season with the club, there’s something about him that remains distinctly…kickable. Teammates Neymar and Dani Alves demonstrated this during a recent training session.
This was surely just a bit of playfulness between teammates, but if Barca are looking for a new revenue stream, they could start charging members of the general public to play this game, too. They would never need a Qatari shirt sponsor again.
