Manchester United are powerless against mice who control Old Trafford

Manchester United were able to quickly chase David Moyes out of Old Trafford last season, but the mice who have claimed the stadium as their home are apparently proving more difficult to shoo away. And no, I’m not talking about the Glazers.

According to the Daily Mail, Man United were one of only two Premier League clubs to receive a less than perfect score on their latest hygiene report (Burnley being the other), in part because of a mice infestation that has plagued the club for years.

If it continued… (Man City v Arsenal)

Arsenal finally decided to adapt to their opponent instead of the people in their dressing room mirror and ended up beating Man City 2-0 at the Etihad. It marked the first time since 2010 that they have won at City (when the score was 3-0, with goals from Samir Nasri, Alex Song and…Nicklas Bendtner). It’s called a “selfie stick” and it is somehow a thing that people care about.

If it continued… (Spurs v Chelsea)

Spurs gave Chelsea a surprise by coming back from 1-0 down to win 5-3 at White Hart Lane on the first day of the new year. A brace from 21-year-old Harry Kane made him the star as Jose Mourinho stewed in his own conspiracy theories and Chelsea’s defending failed them miserably. This made for a rowdy match and demands that we ask the all-important question: “What if it continued?”

This Premier League launch ad is an overdose of 1992

On the first day of 2015, the Sky Sports YouTube account took a throwback Thursday trip to 1992 by posting one of their Premier League launch ads from that year. Not only does it capture the moment top-flight football in England became an untamable beast with an unquenchable thirst for money, but it also depicts the false sense of innocence of a time gone by. And Gordon Strachan’s mullet.
