Chelsea fans support Jose Mourinho, react angrily to winning in first match after sacking
With the new braintrust of returning friends of the club Guus Hiddink and Didier Drogba in the stands next to owner Roman Abramovich, Chelsea fans expressed their undying loyalty to ousted manager Jose Mourinho, as well as their frustration with the players who “betrayed” him in the first match after his sacking.
Bournemouth’s Stanislas scores directly from a corner kick against Man Utd
Flush with confidence after their late winner against Chelsea last week, Bournemouth took an early lead against Man United in daring fashion. Junior Stanislas shamed David De Gea by scoring an olimpico in just the second minute of the game, adding one more laugh at Man United’s expense this week after their elimination from the Champions League.
Marouane Fellaini went on to equalize for Man United in the 24th minute, but he didn’t do it with a corner kick, so it really should have counted for less.
Bournemouth went on to win 2-1 (though it very easily could’ve been even more) with the deciding goal being scored by Josh King, a discarded product of Man United’s youth academy. Clearly the universe is still getting even for the unholy reign of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Cesc Fabregas’ first few months with Chelsea last season were quite good. Ever since then, he has gotten progressively worse to the point where it’s amazing he hasn’t tried to eat the ball and required the Heimlich maneuver from Kurt Zouma.
Speaking of eating the ball, he tried to force feed it to Willian at a thousand miles per hour during Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Spurs…
Jose Mourinho unimpressed with Diego Costa’s bib toss
Jose Mourinho and the shell of the footballer known as Diego Costa reportedly got into a verbal altercation at halftime of Chelsea’s 4-0 win against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the middle of the week, but Mourinho claimed after the match that the two made up with “kisses and cuddles.” Which can only be code for fighting each other until their bodies could no longer function due to blood loss.
Alan Pardew shows Jurgen Klopp who’s boss (it’s Alan Pardew)
Jurgen Klopp was dealt his first defeat as Liverpool manager, losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace at Anfield. Scott Dann headed in the decisive goal in the 82nd minute and after the match, Klopp admitted that it was at that point that he felt he was, in fact, walking alone.
Jose Mourinho has “nothing to say” after loss to Liverpool
It started off well enough for Chelsea with Ramires putting them up 1-0 against Liverpool in just the fourth minute, but the quagmire this season has become for the club eventually swallowed them up. Liverpool came back to win 3-1 with their last two goals taking deflections off Chelsea defenders.
This gives Chelsea an astonishing six losses in their first 11 matches — the worst start to a Premier League title defense ever.
Spurs fan accidentally taps into Bournemouth PA system, offers accurate assessment of their performance
Late in Spurs’ 5-1 dismantling of Bournemouth, an unusual but very accurate announcement was made over the Vitality Stadium’s public address system.
Claudio Ranieri fulfills clean sheet pizza promise to his players
Leicester finally recorded their first clean sheet of the season and all it took was the supreme motivational power of pizza. Last month, Claudio Ranieri promised to buy pizza for all of his players if they achieved the feat and in their 10th match of the season, they finally did it, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 to put them three points behind first-place Man City.
Being a man of his word, Ranieri announced that he will fulfill his promise and even throw in some champagne for good measure. And for scorer Jamie Vardy, who now has goals in seven consecutive Premier League matches (giving him a league leading 10 for the season), there will be an added bonus.
