Sister Lucia Caram, an Argentine nun living in Catalonia loves FC Barcelona and, of course, Lionel Messi. This love is well known. In 2013, she told Mundo Deportivo that “not supporting Barca is a sin.” Though she describes the club as “a way of being, acting, living, thinking” and the embodiment of “fair play and humility,” she clearly has a sense of humor about football and doesn’t shy away from tongue in cheek comments, either.

And it is in that spirit that she boarded the Banter Bus and tweeted “Cristiano: Golden ball or fist?” after Cristiano Ronaldo got himself sent off during Real Madrid’s match against Cordoba on Saturday.

Real Madrid fan in Dubai has a Decima themed Lamborghini

If a Real Madrid themed Lamborghini were exist anywhere, it was always going to be in Dubai — where supercars grow instead of trees. And so it is there that one Madridista celebrated the club winning their 10th European Cup last season with unparalleled flash.

With a large crest on each side and all 10 cups on the back end spelling out “Hala Madrid,” the customizations are enough to make Ferruccio Lamborghini cry.

How Martin Odegaard’s father earned contracts for himself and his son at Real Madrid

Real Madrid have unveiled new signing Martin Odegaard — the 16-year-old Norwegian who became the youngest player to ever appear in a Euro qualifier last year and attracted the interest of every major club in Europe. He will reportedly be paid a whopping €80,000 and his transfer fee was between €3-8 million. Though the financial specifics haven’t been disclosed by the club, they did announce that Martin’s father, Hans Erik, will also join Real Madrid as a youth coach.

On the surface, this appears to be a familiar story of too much too soon facilitated by a shady, backroom deal to curry favor with the parents of an overhyped child. But both contracts might be more deserved than many will assume.

Shortly after Martin earned his historic call-up to Norway’s senior national team at 15, Hans Erik went on Nordic television to explain that his son’s meteoric development was no accident.

Sergio Ramos cements his long-standing love of Michael Jackson with an arm tattoo

A photo posted by Sergio Ramos (@sr4oficial) on

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos already has a tattoo of the World Cup trophy on one leg and the Champions League trophy on the other, so the next logical step was, of course, to get a Michael Jackson tattoo on his arm. And so he has now done just that. Read more

Marco Reus autographs a Real Madrid shirt, which basically means they own his soul forever

Following reports that Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus has agreed to personal terms with Real Madrid ahead of a potential transfer, the player’s agent said all of it was “blatant nonsense.” But now Reus has autographed a Real Madrid shirt after playing a friendly against Steaua Bucharest in Alicante, Spain, and as the ink seeped into the cloth, so did the club into the very essence of his being.

He might continue to play for Dortmund, but now he belongs to Madrid in the two most important places: the gossip columns and that random dude’s shirt.

Traveling sketchbook beautifully depicts some of Cristiano Ronaldo’s greatest moments

By now you must be familiar with the brilliant and unique work of Richard Swarbrick (see his 2014 World Cup highlights here). This latest video, however, adds another dimension to his beautifully minimalistic animations — the real world.

Recapping some of Cristiano Ronaldo’s career highlights on a sketchbook moving through the streets of Manchester and Madrid — the cities where he has played the majority of his career — the video serves as a reminder of why he’s already won two Ballon d’Or awards and might be on the verge of his third.

Ball boy celebrates Atletico goal in Madrid derby by jumping into Diego Simeone’s arms

Atletico Madrid broke the scoreless deadlock from the penalty spot in 58th minute of the first leg of their Copa del Rey tie against Real Madrid (thanks to the blatant foul stylings of Sergio Ramos). One ball boy at the Vicente Calderon celebrated the goal by jumping into the arms of Atletico manager Diego Simeone. Because when you get Fernando Torres back and take a lead against Real Madrid in the same week, hugs are going to happen.

The ball boy wasn’t just some random kid, though. It was Giuliano Simeone — Diego’s son. They did the same celebration last week against Levante and again when Atletico scored a second goal against Real in the 76th minute.

Anyway, this also proves that Jose Mourinho’s theory about the ball boys being against Chelsea is true. Somehow.
