Two days after getting thumped 4-0 at home to Barcelona, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez called a press conference just to announce that manager Rafa Benitez hasn’t been sacked and share a few conspiracy theories. In other words, Rafa’s days are numbered. And maybe Perez’s too.

If it continued… (Real Madrid v Barcelona)
The Santiago Bernabeu was pushed to the desperate act of waving of white handkerchiefs as Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 4-0. It was a show of complete domination from Barca that further weakened Rafa Benitez’s authority over Real Madrid and exposed a gulf in quality between the two rivals. When the final whistle charitably blew, it seemed to preempt further destruction that could have wrought untold hysteria. And so, it is our solemn duty to ask “What if it continued?”
Jose Mourinho had the best day
No one had a better Saturday than Jose Mourinho.
Everything you need to know about El Clasico
El Clasico is a match played several times per season between Team Messi (sometimes referred to as “FC Barcelona”) and Team Cristiano (sometimes referred to as “Real Madrid”). It is the biggest rivalry in world football thanks entirely to the existence of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the only two footballers worth talking about.
La Liga president admits to being a Real Madrid fan, proving every conspiracy theory ever
Fans of every La Liga club except Real Madrid have long believed that Los Blancos receive preferential treatment from those in charge, and now they have all the proof they need to claim validation.
Javier Tebas, Costa Rica born president of La Liga, has admitted to being a Real Madrid supporter.
From BeIN Sports:
“If I say I don’t support [Madrid], then that would be hypocritical and I would be painted as a liar,” he said in an interview with AS.
“And I certainly don’t like to be called a liar. Imagine if I said that I loved all teams, and then it came out that I supported Madrid since I was a boy, went to 27 Clasicos in the past, that I celebrated Madrid wins with friends in a bar. I prefer to call it as it is.”
Does this mean every penalty Real Madrid are awarded is a direct order from Tebas? Yep. Does it mean Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are being actively sabotaged at every turn? Of course. Does it mean that the Cristiano Ronaldo documentary will be shown at all official La Liga functions? You know it.
This, my friends, is indisputable proof that the Illuminati is real.
This is Isco getting his head stapled nine times during Real Madrid-PSG
Isco suffered a nasty gash on his head during Real Madrid’s 1-0 win against PSG on Tuesday, requiring him to get his head stapled before returning to the match. The club have now released video of the stapling and it does not seem like a pleasant experience…
DT Exclusive: What Cristiano Ronaldo whispered to Laurent Blanc
Cristiano Ronaldo whispered something to PSG manager Laurent Blanc after Real Madrid’s 1-0 Champions League win, prompting widespread speculation as to what he could have said. DT’s lip-reading experts have closely examined the footage and determined that it can only be one of the following phrases…
Why Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t score more free kicks
Real Madrid’s scoreless draw with PSG on Wednesday highlighted Cristiano Ronaldo’s extended struggle in an area where he once dazzled. Cristiano has only scored two of his last 89 direct free kicks — a far cry from the days earlier in his career when he would knock them in from any angle and at any distance. And yet, he keeps taking them and he keeps squandering them.
Cristiano Ronaldo introduces his new fragrance “Buttloads of Goals”
Having endured an agonizing spell of two matches without scoring, Cristiano Ronaldo decided to go ahead and score five against Espanyol. He scored his initial hat trick within the first 20 minutes of the 6-0 win, then added two more in the second half for good measure.
Gerard Pique controversy proves the hypocrisy in demand for loyalty and passion
A lot is made about how modern football has been ruined by mercenaries. The incredibly talented athletes we love to watch are supposedly just doing their jobs for the astronomical sums of money we conspire to afford them. It’s said that they have no passion for the game to which they’ve devoted their lives and sacrificed their futures and hold no loyalty to the employers who demonstrate the same or the fans who are all too eager to turn on them with the weather. This is reason enough to despise and admonish them every chance we get.
If only these footballers truly cared, we say. If only they demonstrated the same passion that we do. Then they would be doing it right.
But as the current fog of idiocy that has surrounded Gerard Pique demonstrates, that’s not true either. In the minds of too many fans and pundits, footballers must live up to impossible and illogical standards and are only allowed to be wrong.
