Real Madrid sacked Carlo Ancelotti a mere 24 hours after Sam Allardyce became available. Coincidence? Haha no.
“I’m not suited to Bolton or Blackburn, I would be more suited to Inter or Real Madrid,” Allardyce said in 2010. “It wouldn’t be a problem to me to go and manage those clubs because I would win the double or the league every time.”

Since Carlo Ancelotti delivered Real Madrid’s long awaited 10th Champions League title last season instead of this season, club president Florentino Perez is reportedly itching to sack him now. So after Real Madrid’s final match of the season — a 7-3 win against Getafe that left them just two points shy of Barcelona’s tremendous title winning campaign — Ancelotti revealed his feelings on the matter.

Once upon a time there was a man named Florentino Perez. He was the head of a wealthy family in Spain, but still had the eyes of a child. Because of this, he loved to buy the most expensive toys from other parts of the world, even though his family made some wonderful toys of their own.
In the latest show of the Ball Boy Cabal’s tyrannical rule over football, a member of the Madrid faction flexed their impudence during the second leg of the Champions League semifinal between Real Madrid and Juventus.
As Patrice Evra attempted to collect the ball, a ball boy on the other side of the advertising board reached over and pulled it away from the Juve defender. This prompted a small scuffle for the ball that wasted the time of people all over the world, once again proving that Jose Mourinho was right and ball boys are the worst people on the planet.
The sooner we replace them all with ball retrieving robots, the better off football will be.
If you know anyone who is a ball boy or has ever expressed an interest in becoming one, please report them to the local authorities and, with any luck, they will be put in jail forever so they can no longer be a scourge on society.
Real Madrid have arrived safe and sound in Turin ahead of their Champions League semifinal first leg match against Juventus thanks to Catalan pilot Juan Manuel Boned. The club made a special request to have Boned fly them to Italy since they believe him to be a good luck charm.
It’s a now familiar scene: Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate scores and while everyone else celebrates, he pouts because he felt it should have been him. It happened again when Alvaro Arbeloa (of all people) came sliding in to finish what Ronaldo thought would be an easy tap-in for Real Madrid’s final goal in a 3-0 win against Almeria.
As soon as the ball hit the back of the net, Ronaldo was visibly upset — presumably because he missed out on his 40th La Liga goal of the season to go two ahead of Lionel Messi as the league’s top scorer. He furiously kicked the ball back at the net and shook his head as Arbeloa and Fabio Coentrao embraced behind him.
Real Madrid experimented with a new technique during their match against Almeria: synchronized throw-ins. Each with their own ball, Fabio Coentrao and James Rodriguez attempted side by side throw-ins at the same time, each targeting Pepe as the Almeria players seemed to say, “That’s not how this works!”
Cristiano Ronaldo was a little off target during warm-ups before the second leg of Real Madrid’s Champions League quarterfinal against Atletico. As a result, he hit a young boy in the stands with an errant shot.
Ronaldo was visibly pained by the accident and watched closely as medical staff at the Bernabeu treated the boy. When his teammates headed back to the dressing room, Cristiano jogged over to the boy and handed him his shirt.
The kid was still in tears after that, but hopefully the realization that from then on he could always break the ice with strangers at parties by saying “I was hit by a Cristiano Ronaldo shot before a Champions League quarterfinal one time” helped the pain of getting smashed by a Ronaldo free kick go away.
