Sevilla employ magical floating ball in loss to Barcelona
The future of ball podium technology is NOW!
When Barcelona come to town, clubs are forced to do everything they possibly can to try and stave off the seeming inevitability of defeat. So with that in mind, Sevilla tried to counter the magic of Lionel Messi with an illusion of their own in the form of a levitating ball. Behold!
The levitating ball was achieved through electromagnetic technology. Unsurprisingly, Messi’s wizardry outmatched this hypnotizing science as he scored to help Barcelona to a 2–1 win.
Next time, try making your players levitate, Sevilla.

The most miserable people at the 2016 Europa League final
Sevilla came back from 1-0 down to beat Liverpool 3-1 and win a record third consecutive Europa League title. Obviously a second cup final loss in one season is enough to dampen the spirits of anyone on Liverpool’s side, but a few people had worse experiences in Basel than others.
Woman films the exact moment Cristiano Ronaldo gave her a black eye with a terrible penalty
Sarah Arcand was in attendance at Real Madrid’s 4-0 win over Sevilla and happened to be sitting right behind the goal Cristiano Ronaldo was aiming for as he lined up a penalty. Naturally, she took out her phone to film her great perspective of this moment, but what she didn’t know was that she would end up being the star of her own film as Cristiano missed the goal and hit her eye instead.
Barcelona overcome first MEGA CRISIS of the season to win UEFA Super Cup
Going into the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla, Barcelona showed all the makings of another apocalyptic crisis from which they will never recover. Neymar had to go into quarantine with mumps, Pedro was held out of the starting XI amidst his prolonged transfer saga with Manchester United, and the club hadn’t won a major trophy since the Champions League final last season.

Colombian striker Carlos Bacca was in tears on the bench when the final whistle sounded on Sevilla’s 3-2 win against Ukrainian underdogs Dnipro in the Europa League final. His two goals proved decisive in delivering the Spanish club’s second consecutive Europa League title and fourth in the last 10 years, giving them more Europa League/UEFA Cup titles than any other club in the tournament’s history (Juves, Inter, and Liverpool all have three each).
